MPT® Polarization Technology
Polarized lenses act like slatted window blinds—when light hits a reflective surface it bounces and scatters, reducing contrast and clarity. The “blinds” in MPT ® lenses block scattered light rays but let in the “corrected” light with virtually no glare, allowing you to see clearly and fight eye fatigue.
All Margaritaville® polarized sunglasses feature premium fused polarization Technology. MPT® Fused lenses diffuse glare through the use of an integrated, pre-formed polarizing filter, layered within the injected lens, allowing incredible clarity even in the harshest conditions. MPT® fused lenses are the highest quality available and filter out 99.9 % of blinding glare.
MPT® Nylon Lenses
MPT® Nylon lenses offer premium optical quality for all around use: from the ocean, to the stage, and to the boardroom. MPT® lenses have many advantages over traditional glass—including impact and shatter resistance—while retaining extremely high optical clarity. MPT® lenses are unbelievably light, which means they are comfortable for use over long periods of time. In fact they’re so light you might forget you are wearing sunglasses at all. MPT ® nylon lenses are a durable material that’s impervious to cracking, and can accommodate a wide range of color options and gradient tints for all sorts of outdoor use and fashion environments. All MPT ® nylon lenses provide 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection from the sun’s harmful rays, but don’t forget your sunscreen.
MPT ® Polycarbonate Mirrored Lenses
MPT ® Polycarbonate Mirrored Lenses meet or exceed industry standards for clarity, shatter protection. These mirrored bad boys reflect light and allow you to see the world without them knowing what your looking at.
Watershed Finish–Built Beach Tough
All MPT® lenses come standard issue with a factory-tuned watershed hard coat finish, engineered to fight scratches and fingerprints, and repel water. Our lenses are factory treated at super-high heat to harden and resist scratching that occurs on lesser, inexpensive, untreated lenses.
MPT® ARC
MPT® ARC (Accurate Radius Curvature) lenses are optically correct while providing the highest quality distortion-free vision. MPT® ARC lenses are de-centered: providing even optimal clarity across all sections of your lens—even on the periphery—eliminating distortion and allowing true visual clarity. All MPT are Optical Class 1 quality have a tapered thickness to insure visual accuracy.

Ultralight Margaritaville® Proprietary Composite Material
The new Ultralight Margaritaville® Proprietary Composite Material acts like metal, yet feels like plastic. This revolutionary ultra lightweight material has all the amazing durability aspects of titanium, without the weight, brittleness or heat conductivity. Its origins come from precision aerospace applications where it is used to fabricate nose cones on fighter jets. Our Ultralight Margaritaville® Proprietary Composite Material frame is the lightest and strongest material on the planet, it can withstand tremendous heat or cold without sacrificing its flexibility, compromising its shape, or structural integrity—and makes for a perfect pair of fishing frames.
Margaritaville Forged Alloy Frames
Margaritaville Forged Alloy is an engineered alloy of nickel silver and copper that creates a lightweight, yet extremely durable frame. It’s a malleable, corrosion resistant frame that is hypoallergenic, and provides a well fitting and easy to wear frame.
Sungrip Rubber
The Sungrip rubber found on Margaritaville® frame temples is a unique hydrophilic compound that increases its tackiness when introduced to moisture. When you sweat, Sungrip Rubber keeps your shades firmly in place.
Sungrip Nose Cushioning
Margaritaville® frames come with Sungrip nose cushioning pads on all its styles to create a better fitting frame, one that stays where you want it to. Our Hemisphere and Down Island styles come with an adjustable Sungrip cushion system that can be manipulated to fit a wide variety of nose shapes and sizes.
Integrated Temple Leash Loop & Leash
Margaritaville® frames have leash loops at the temple to accommodate the custom low-profile leash of our high-tech leash system. This ensures you keep your favorite Margaritaville® shades right where you need them–around your neck–without bulky bands around the frame temples.
